I needed some extra income so I called the printing services
When the construction layoff came, I made haste to utilize my skills in other areas. I had been reading that music teachers were still doing a good business. Being a fair guitarist, I began printing flyers to offer personal lessons. Doing this on a home system turned out to be an expensive and slow way to go.
I turned to the online printing services. That amounted to pages of reading, studying, and comparing. Digital printing is big business, and the rates between printing services vary very little. In short notice, I understood that price depended on who was offering what special and when. I also realized that each presented nearly identical basic printing services. These sites provided standard point and click procedures for creation of cards, signs, flyers, and other business sales materials.
Before placing any orders, I visited two of our local printing services. Their digital printing reading methods proved to be of top quality, and they had equipment that was sufficient for reading any process of digital upload one might need. Here I had the added benefit of hands-on examination of samples. But both companies were short-crewed and priced accordingly higher that the mass production on-line digital printing giants.
I’ve also begun to advertise my computer skills. I’m still printing flyers for that from home. But I farmed out the business cards, yard signs, and t-shirts. Now if I could only see some return on my investments.
